Cars and their payments

Yesterday,a good friend of ours came over to show us the new Explorer that she was given as a gift. Let me tell you, it was awesome. The thing was bigger than our first apartment. Leather interior, DVD player, phone through the speakers, OnStar... the list goes on and on. My Town and Country started to look pretty crappy. I wanted one, and I wanted one bad. I was ready to go to the dealership and pick mine out.

Then I realized something. I wanted a new car, but not the car payment that would have come with it. Suddenly my old, paid for Town and Country didn't seem so bad.

Even the pregnant neighborhood cat likes it!

What is better than a paid for but financed through a bank Town and Country? A paid for with cash, old, beat up Saturn. That's right! My $100 Saturn is still going strong. Sure, we had to put a $40 battery and $300 radiator in it, but you you think about what some people spend on car payments every month, $440 is still a bargain in my book.

oh yeah-can relate...I want a new car too (well a new "something"-havent figured out what)--but really don't want the payment...I think we're going to have to get something next year because hubby's work car is about a goner....it's been soo nice not to have a car payment.....
